So does this send it to the governor’s desk? Any indication on whether the governor will sign?

Yes, the governor has indicated he would sign it. The VCDL seems to believe he will.

Time to hook up the trailer and head to VA. 😉

The Governor has said from the outset that if it passed, he would sign it.

Nicely done, VA. The usual “river of blood” cries are already in the air over this one. It’s not like there was a limit on the number of handguns you could own, and I don’t recall the old rule getting in the way of private sales, either.

To be clear, I fully support the elimination of this rule. I’m just saying that it wasn’t in any way an effective method of preventing the distribution of guns to would-be criminals.

Step by step we are returning to some common sense gun freedoms. Boy it takes a long time!!
I will go off the wagon, for a weekend, if NJ and NY ever adopt the United States Constitutions 2nd amendment for real. (Which means if I can ever carry there)

Well, you see the carnage in states like IN, where we have no limits. Wait. No you don’t. Hell, if you’re up for carnage, all you need is one.

That’s very unBloomberg of them. A sociopath like Bloomberg will be sure to take notice and react if it becomes law. That puny dictator wannabe can’t stand to have his imaginary authority challenged. He thinks he owns this country.

Teribly sorry Old Boy, but being a Disabled veteran giving half of my retirement to my X with me paying 100% of the taxes means that MY retirement is 28% of what I was promissed, What i have is Social Security paying me Disability, the VA paying 90% Disability and the retirement check being absorbed by the X wife basicaky leavieng me destitute, Yeas i can pay my bills ,,dam right I can,, but at a slight cost. Heating and cooling my house,, too expensive, I pay them all but I give up comfort. I often ask myself: Did I give up my youth, my life to serve my country so I could live in poverty. Well I guess i did. Evidently I am not enumerated when it comes to the safety of Amedrica. I am done I am used. Therefor I am of no matter. I am the Chopping Block for cutting the budget. WOO HOO I win, Kill those promisses and destroy our abilities. That will fix it.

I like to think that they did it yesterday as a response to Bloomberg’s ad.

Thought of something this morning and checked.
This will cost them 3 points on the Brady Ranking scale, dropping them from tied for 17th to 20th place.
At only 13 points total it may even drop them out of “one star” status, previously including the tie at 14 points. but not the previous state in 20th place at 10 points.
