Romney has promised to “waiver” Obamacare for all 50 states on his first day in office. Sauce for the goose, and all that.

We don’t need Rule of Law. If the law applied equally to everybody, there would be inequality. Plus, waivers are great for the politicals and bureaucrats as they can reward their friends while punishing those who don’t give enough. Plus, as an added bonus, if you don’t get the waiver, you dare not complain since that would most likely get you an enforcement action.

I’ve always thought equal protection under the law ment the law would be enforced equaly. Guess not.
But one must see that by having wavers to a law opens the way to discrimination, as they can pass the law and then by using wavers target the law for whomever they want, rich, poor, black, white, etc…
See instead of making a law to prohibit something they knew would not past Constitutional muster, they just make the law broad and then give wavers to those they favor for some reason or another (like campaign contributions, or not being in the right political class, or race, or religion, or…
