Here is the deal I proposed to one of the sponsors, mostly tongue-in-cheek:
Employers may prohibit employees and customers from bringing firearms on premises by posting in accordance with 39-17-1359.
However! In the event that an employee or customer who has a carry permit becomes a victim of a violent crime from the time they leave their home until they return, any person involved in the decision to post shall be deemed an accomplice to such crime, and shall receive the same sentence as the perpetrator.
I’m pretty sure no company would post, because only an idiot could think that his employees are immune from crime. The way things stand now, there’s no incentive for them to take responsibility for their decisions.
