Take Your Daughter to the Range Day June 9
Even though I retired last year and moved from Orlando to Greenville SC I’m still a member at Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc. in Orlando. On Saturday March 10 we’ll be hosting our 8th annual Ladies’ Day at the Gun Range event, and for the 5th year I’ll be involved in running the Basic Handgun section. We could use a plug because we’re short on instructors (the Florida State IDPA Championship is being held in Clearwater that weekend, so a number of instructors and RSOs we counted on are attending the match and unable to help). Women will be able to try smallbore rifle, air pistol and air rifle, high power rifle (AR-15, Garand, 1903-A3, M48 Mauser), Basic Handgun (.22 LR semi-auto & revolver, 38 Special revolver, 9MM semi-auto), IPSC, IDPA, Cowboy Action and 3-Gun tactical stages, shotgun trap and archery.
I got Robb to put a plug on his blog yesterday; we need NRA-Certified Instructors and/or RSOs, USPSA/IDPA/Cowboy Action, or LE-Certified Instructor/ROs to help with Basic Handgun. We have 15 instructor spots and only 9 signed up. Last year we had over 400 women show up to participate and we expect that many again this year (to control the crowds, pre-registration is required this year, full info and registration form available at www.cfrpc.com). If you could give us a plug for any Certified Instructor types in Central Florida who want to help I’d really appreciate it. If they send us an email at ladiesdayguns-at-gmail-dot-com I’ll get right back to them.
Lend a hand if you can.
