You have too much faith in DC City Council. They make Bell California look like…I can’t even think of a sensible polar opposite to how insane they are.
Perhaps some People in the Federal Gooberment just realized that if they lose their Jobs come next year, they lose their Gooberment Bodyguards? And since they tend to hang around DC, they will be dependent on Metro PD and 911?
I’m sure what DC reallly wants is their gun ordinances coming before Congress for review in an election year.
It’ll be a proxy vote on the 2nd for anti-gun Congress critters and the Administration, particularly if the pro-gun representatives in the House start suggesting things like reciprocity and barring funds for the remaining registry, etc. and the Anti’s have to take public stands.
I loved that series and thanks for posting it. It looks it was as much typical bureaucratic incompetence and the left-hand-not-knowing-what-the-right-hand-is-doing as much as a specific attempt to make it that impossible. But you can’t discount the latter completely. It’s also reassuring to see that one person really can still make a difference.

The pen is mightier than the gun. DC city council is learning this. This is just the beginning of outing what these people call sensible.

Don’t you just hate it when that happens?

Good news and it doesn’t involve a Dacia Sandero.

Well, more accurately, one person and a printing press.

Thanks for all your support! And yes, we need to stay focused on the full council agreeing to this bill in the coming months. -Emily
