Quote of the day

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa to Eric Holder:

You don’t have the right to get 200 Mexicans and and least two Americans murdered in the name of quote, following the guns loosely to the scene of the crime.

Actually they do… Issa is a candy ass is putting on a poor showing of a case where he has his opponents dead to right…

    Eric Holder to Darrell Issa:
    “I am the law!”

Really, in Holder’s universe you have the right to do whatever you can get away with, and since a pretty good chunk of America couldn’t care less about dead (insert group of non-Americans here), especially when it’s their guy doing/ignoring the killing, then Holder has a better than average chance of getting away with it.

Isn’t Holder the ultimate “Only One”?

  4. Mike Says:

    Thank you, John Smith.

Look, folks, you KNOW that Holder is not going to get impeached, fired, or (pardon me while I chuckle) sent to prison.

He’s Black, and the people on the other side are White. (I’m of the darker persuasion myself, but my saving grace is that I am an immigrant, so I ain’t got no dog in this fight.)

The Left in this country has hit on the perfect formula: mix a Black President and a Black AG, add White Congresscritters who wet themselves when somebody whispers “racist!”, and shake liberally with a militant Leftist press that will do anything to protect Obama and his acolytes. The result: you’re looking at it.

Obama is President today because a whoooole bunch of White people sought to expiate “their” racial sins by voting for a Black President. Enough of them will do it again in 2012 that the man will be re-elected. In the meantime, all the bleating and foot-stomping by Issa and the like won’t amount to anything. The DC-NY press has shut his hearings out; the Left is working overtime to dig dirt on him personally to deflect from his investigations; and the rest of the Congresscritters are running scared.

So, let’s save the money and wind up this circus, OK?

Geez, when high government officials can’t get the “individual rights” versus “official powers” stuff down correctly, is there any hope for the country?

One more time, all together: only people have rights, and people grant some powers to governments. Governments have no rights, and cannot grant or extend or enact rights for individuals. Governments can only infringe on the inherent rights of individuals, in an unauthorized and illegitimate exercise of ungranted authority and tyrannical power.

    Taking the posted quote in isolatiom;
So F&F would have been just fine and dandy so long as none of the F&F guns were used to kill people?

  7. Rick Says:

Mike, I believe you’re absolutely correct; Holder has called Issa’s bluff re: “Contempt of Congress”. Won’t happen. Holder is going to run out the clock until the congresscritters notice that it’s time to start running for reelection rather than sit in a committee meeting looking all righteously indignant.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
