Santorum on guns
He filled out GOA’s questionnaire, with only one wrong answer. His answer to #9 indicates he would support requiring private firearm transactions to go through background checks.

As I’ve said elsewhere, I despise Santorum. Deeply. Here we have an opportunity to turn things around and the best the GOP can do is The 1/2 Less Black Obama and Saint Santorum.
However….
While Romney will simply be another Obama term with a Congress who is in his pocket, Santorum would find his Theocratic Tendencies so thoroughly maligned by the left and the media (I repeat myself) that he would more than likely be kept in check. This is the one thing I would gladly align myself with those I normally disdain. And I’m a Christian…
I think I’d prefer to fight a social war rather than an economic one..
Friggin’ depressing that this is what we’ve got to choose from.

Oddly enough, when the economy goes bad the Dems start criticizing the social issues of Republicans. Well, more than they always do.
Keep in mind that with another Obama term the US in 2016 will look like Greece does now. With any Republican in ofice there is at least a chance of that being put off or averted.
Vote the column other than Obama and you can’t go that far wrong.

I can’t stand the thought of another 4 for Obama for 2 reasons
1) He’ll almost undoubtedly get to appoint at least one more Supreme Court Justice.
2) 4 years with no restraint because he doesn’t have to worry about re-election is perhaps the most terrifying thing I can think of.
Neither of the Stupid Party’s top 2 is exciting, but reason 1 and 2 are so stupifyingly terrible that they are almost beyond conception.
The economy, well, its hosed, regardless of who gets in. We cannot support the entitlements, when only half the working force is paying taxes.

Righty religious don’t scare me half or even a smidgen as as much as the Lefty Religious who believe in the Two Minutes Hate and worship at the Church of Kaos where Troubadour is a deacon…
Thank the Stupid Party for being stupid, we can count on that.

“the US in 2016 will look like Greece does now”
Not exactly. Those marble columns hold up better than the styrofoam ones. Doric, Ionic, or Corinthian?

Not bad, certainly compared to Romney or even Gingrich. I suppose he can be forgiven for the one apostasy as that is existing law in PA.

I vote republican. I have not seen one since…. I am getting older.

I may sound ignorant here but it just seems like it dosent really matter to much what they say and do when running becuse things seem to rapidly change when in office.

Obama ran to the right of McCain – Obama was going to lower taxes, protect gun rights, increase domestic oil production, win the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan decisively and quickly, go to war with Iran to prevent them from developing nuclear weapons, and stop gays from marrying. Obama was going to ensure full transparency in the federal government, with all legislation being posted publicly on the internet for 72 hours before voting. He was going to pass balanced budgets. No more lobbyists as political appointees, no more political appointees going on to lucrative lobbyist jobs. No more earmarks.
Every candidate is a conservative, every incumbent is a tax-and-spend liberal.

Interesting that he supports background checks for private sales at gun shows, but later lists his support for repealing the Brady background check requirement altogether.

I’m not impressed with their questionnaire. I’ve seen ones NRA uses and they were bad, but not this bad.

An individual can’t do a NICS check. So, all transfers would have to go thru a dealer. Jack.

Yes, a blind alley, sadly. But, tomorrow’s topic will be a lot more fun: Santorum on Drugs.
