Careful when you leave America
Veteran arrested and pleas in DC because he had ammo in his bag. Having ammo isn’t a crime in America. In DC, it is.

Why would anyone live in either of those places?

I worked in DC and lived in MD for a while, actually, too long. Driving the 45 miles to work started at 6:00am. Becoming conscious on the BallWash Parkway at 6:30am on a Monday and realizing the spilled 22LR cartridges in the back seat, left over from the trip to the range on Sunday, could be mean being fired, arrested, convicted, sentenced and sent to prison turned me into a gun rights proponent.
Well, actually it was the stopping by the side of the road in cold weather to sweep the car for such contraband, and hiding it in the locked toolbox in the trunk.

Came here in ’67 when the factories were paying more than the Chicago Police Department. Along with a million or so black folk from the South. But things change.
Chicago is still a good place to live and work in. I’ll take it over New York and Los Angeles, let alone DC or Detroit.

In Washington it IS legal to lie, cheat and steal if you have the title Senator, Representative, Councilman – er – Councilperson, Mayor …
