As an unrepentant caster and reloader, I remain completely befuddled as to why Lee, Hornady, RCBS, or anyone else hasn’t come up with a much-lower-cost alternative to Corbin for this process.

You’re an outlier even in reloading territory; the vast majority of reloaders, as near as I can tell from doing it myself and seeing ’em online, don’t cast bullets at all, let alone want to do it for their .223 autoloaders.

Corbin sells a die kit that does all that for you using lead wire and .22 brass.
You do pay a lot more for the turn-key solution, however, Corbin wants $833 for their full kit.
