What happened to Sig?
I used to carry Sigs and Sigs only. It’s true. But I switched to Glock due to the trigger. And my Sigs worked fine. But lately enough people complain about their quality that I have to wonder.
Even gun snobs.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

My P238 has been flawless thus far, but I know a ton of the earlier ones had reliability issues. If only S&W would make that single stack, compact 9MM M&P…

My Sigpro works fine but it’s 12 years old. I heard it’s because they hired the CEO of Kimber to be their new CEO a few years ago. He apparently makes them more profitable by cutting corners.

Relax, I’ve got a Sig 226 that I use for competition. I haven’t had a single failure that wasn’t caused by ammo. It’s miles better than my Glock 22.

Wait, did I hear that right?
You switched TO the Glock because of the trigger?
How bad does that make the Sig trigger?
After decades of using a 1911-pattern pistol, the Glock trigger is the thing I hate most about them. That doesn’t mean that I don’t own a Glock, but I bought it mainly because the .gov said I couldn’t.

I stuck with Glocks for the same reason, the trigger. It’s repeatable, reliable, and shootable. it’s not a match grade trigger I guess, but people win matches with them, so I don’t know. And the whole “IDPA Box” insanity just to exclude the 17L and 24 says something about some folks ability to shoot them in competition.
My Glock 30 SF gave me weird weird problems, and so far it’s the only Glock I’ve owned that has made the trip back to Glock for repair. They replaced the trigger bar and it’s run like a top, a few thousand rounds later and i’ve only swapped it’s recoil assembly and rebuilt the range mags. The rest of my Glock anecdote is all of the other dozen that I own or have owned have run like a top.
The few Sig’s I’ve had have been a mixed bag. The Mosquito was a horrible gun. But so is the P22 that I STILL have, and both should never have been made by those idiots. The 239 SAS was decent with a overly long trigger. It ran well for a few years without issue. The 220 compact was snappy but seemed to work, wasn’t shot a ton. The 238 works well so far, only 600 or so rounds through it though. I bought it knowing it might have issues, but I was buying it for the form factor, not because it was a Sig, and so far it works. I actually like the little thing.
