It’s a Russian thing. Since civilian handgun possession does not exist in Russia, getting shot by the cops probably didn’t even cross the designers mind.
I remember walking around with a perfect Makarov replica and nobody had issues with it. Granted, I was 10 and it was 1987 when the USSR was still intact and life was peaceful over there.
In 1987 you could walk around with a realistic toy gun in the US and no one batted an eye. That’s because in 1987, kids weren’t running around like madmen shooting people because they can. The concept of an 8 year old stick up kid would be a cartoon in the sunday paper, not standard local news. The juvenile justice system is nuts.

Poor display of rule #2 and the mentality (or lack) behind it – and I see what you did there!

Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.

And yet the Cat Fanny Pack advertised below the gun leash gets no attention at all?
Wowsers – I want me one of those right now! That it looks pretty exactly like my family cat is a plus!

Anyone dumb enough to use one of these should be removed from the gene pool as a precautionary measure.
