Pistols, new and knock offs
A bit back, I noted the lack of quality in most store-bought drawers. I settled on some tactical underwear and it held up well. Going on just shy two years now and the several pair that I bought are still like new. The elastic is still good, unlike other brands that I criticized before. And the fit is still snug. Keep your friends close and your junk closer.
I highly recommend the ExOfficio Give-N-Go.
Apparently, WI doesn’t allow access to the database of people who have carry permits. This has the press and the anti-gunners (but I repeat myself) upset. The anti-gunners want to snoop through your stuff and make sure you’re law-abiding. And the press likes to draw traffic to its websites by publishing lists of carry permit holders on occasion.
Don’t tuck your gun into your underoos:
Advocating Mexican carry is your skivvies is a horrific idea, and will lead to a dropped gun, or worse, a panicked shooter attempting to catch a dropped gun.
There’s a reason why no body but Plaxico Burress tucks their Glock into their sweatpants. The elastic bands aren’t so hot at holding things up.
Mentioned Smith and Wesson hyping their new M&P model that they’re advertising. The ad targets concealed carry. But no one knows what it is, definitively. So, what say you? My top guesses are single stack models or a new caliber offering, like maybe a .380 pocket variant. The other thing is that it could be a midsized (i.e., Glock 19 sized) variant of the M&P. Or a sub compact model as their M&PC is a bit larger than the G26 so maybe a smaller, 10 round version.
Well, what do you think?
An interesting read at The City Paper on the recent growth of local distillers. Amazing how, when you repeal blue laws, that industry grows.
TSA can’t catch explosives residue. But they’ll bend you over over some lotions.
The WSJ has a bit on, if contraception, then why not coffee, massage and gym memberships? In the event of a robbery or home invasion, having a firearms is the best preventative care.
And you may not have to shoot someone.
In other news, no one told me Kit was blogging again. That woman has gone through more URLs than William the Conqueror. Regardless, glad she’s back.

Artist makes some pretty cool things out of old cardboard. My favorite is his “AK-47”.
92 year old man fends off three thieves. And a bonus story about a retired librarian holding burglars at gun err machete point.
U.S. District Court Judge Keith Ellison:
Federal law does not recognize actual innocence as a mechanism to overturn an otherwise valid conviction.
The judge denied a motion for a new trial.
Odd bumper sticker:
Here’s the Woollard Case Action Center so you can get your pro-gun activism on.

Joe, who runs Boomershoot and pretty much has explosive residue every where, tweets that the bag he once had loaded with explosives and that hasn’t been washed since made it right through TSA’s checkpoint.
Another Koolaid drinker: Smith & Wesson should just cut a deal with Apex to put their triggers and sears in every M&P.
A look inside the carry culture that is mostly positive and highlights our victories. And it features the town of someone you may know.
The state asks for stay while they appeal. If I lived there, I’d be figuring out how to apply.
And not better safety equipment:
Gun mufflers differ from car mufflers in minor details. They are less efficient because of the requirement for a straight path being open for the bullet.
For those who missed it, Jeanne Assam, the heroic woman who shot a mass shooter at the New Life Church, has a website and a book for sale. She’s also looking for a job in law enforcement and having a tough time of it. So, if you know of anyone, help her out. And buy her book.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
