Firearm safety rules

They apply to cannons too:

A woman was killed early Tuesday when her lover, who had allegedly been drinking, accidentally shot a homemade cannon into the couple’s home.

Quote of the Day

Ian on the disease, not the symptoms:

What is worrisome is the increasing arrogant disregard for the 4th amendment, not the specifics of the manifestation of that disregard. Worry about the watchers, not the tools/technology.

Interwebnetfu

One of the things I want is one box to rule them all. A text box that is. One that I can type into and it updates the site, the site’s FB page, twitter page, and all the other spigots I have to get posts where people like to read them. And one place to read the whole internet every day. So, from Bob, I learned of RockMelt. I was digging it then realized it had one fatal flaw: no wordpress interface.

Bummer.

Santorum on guns

He filled out GOA’s questionnaire, with only one wrong answer. His answer to #9 indicates he would support requiring private firearm transactions to go through background checks.

Weird dreams

I have them.

Last night’s dream was one where I had this ray gun. And if I shot someone with the ray gun they would immediately start dancing like the zombies in Michael Jackson’s Thriller. So, I did what any reasonable person would do given such awesome power and responsibility. I drove around The City (My The City) shooting everyone I saw with it. I drove home with everyone in town dancing after me while I wondered if it was permanent or not.

Weird.

Last time I have Taco Bell for dinner, no matter how much the kids beg.

More stuff on the MD Shall Issue Ruling

A press release from The Second Amendment Foundation:

A federal court ruling in Maryland, that the Second Amendment right to bear arms extends beyond the home and that citizens may not be required to offer a “good and substantial reason” for obtaining a concealed carry permit, is a huge victory, the Second Amendment Foundation said today.

Ruling here. Joe has a fantastic quote of the day:

A citizen may not be required to offer a ‘good and substantial reason’ why he should be permitted to exercise his rights. The right’s existence is all the reason he needs.

He’s also contributing to the Brady tequila fund.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
