Home invader shot and killed with an AR-15. No way! I read on the internet that AR-15s were only good at killing poodles.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

So this is proof that poodles invade homes.

BWAAAAHAHAHA!!!!!
These geniuses decided to rob a guy because he was armed to the teeth? I LOVE IT!

Sounds like another example of why you don’t talk about any guns you have (and make sure the rest of your family does the same)

There must be more to this story… the perp was a convicted Felon and therefore it was impossible for him to have a gun on him…
“Martin was convicted of six felony drug counts last November and received a seven-year probated sentence, police said.”

The first comment there cracked me up. $2000 Assault rifles!

This is a reason I refer to such weapons as semi-auto rifles or self-defense rifles since “assualt” is either a crime (like this) or an offensive military tactic.
For the most part, the only “assault weapons on the streets” are carried by our EMPLOYEES, i.e., government LEO agents or being used by the military for offesive operations.

You know what I don’t see?
“The bullet from the high-powered assault rifle went through the victim and killed a sleeping baby nun three apartments over.”
I’ve been told that is exactly what would happen if you used an AR for home defense.

Wizard, I thought that too, but at the end of the article they leave that possibility open. At least I think that is what they are doing. The last paragraph doesn’t make a ton of sense.
Around 9:45 p.m., police found a man who had been shot three times.
He was rushed to the hospital in serious condition with life-threatening wounds.
Detectives said there aren’t any witnesses, and they don’t know if the man lived at the apartment complex where the shooting happened.

He would have been SO much more dead if he had used a .308!
He’d have been a bit more dead if he had used 6.8 SPC…

HL:
I can see how someone not familiar with the area might think that. Antioch is south Nashville. The second shooting happened about 30 miles away in north Nashville. That would be clear to residents, but not to others.

7 years probation…wouldn’t breaking into someone’s house have violated that…
April 20th, 2012 at 11:03 am
Wait, it’s only good for Poodles?
Such a revelation might be just the thing to get the President to repeal the NFA!
April 20th, 2012 at 11:45 am
Wow. That’s about three miles from my house. I was actually filling up my car right past that complex last night, and saw the police cars. Crazy small world.
April 20th, 2012 at 11:48 am
…but the AK would have killed more poodles.
April 20th, 2012 at 12:14 pm
Definitely wizard… They would have to take the murfreesboro pike then hit the briley and that would take at least 30 minutes if traffic ran perfectly. Cutting up over to lebanon pike from antioch would take longer due to the 10 billion traffic lights and road construction…

Jeff Cooper called the AR-15 a poodleshooter. Are you claiming it actually has enough power to kill them? 😉
April 20th, 2012 at 1:16 pm
Bah, what does Jeff Cooper know.. >.>
April 20th, 2012 at 1:47 pm
Why the hell would you open the front door to look around? :p Derp Derp Derp.
Glad he made it out alive though. But still…

Must have been using the .300 BLK round.
April 20th, 2012 at 6:00 pm
I was told they were mouse guns, poodles are a lot bigger

Huh. I figured that it was Obama’s nickname for a hunting rifle.
