Crimson Trace Laser Grip For the Smith and Wesson M&P Shield
Seen at CrimsonTrace’s facebook page:
Wonder why it’s under the barrel and not a LaserGrip. Is it a light?
Update: Confirmed that the Shield does not have removable backstraps. I did not know that.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the clips-onto-the-triggerguard type of laser, to the point where I refuse to even consider them for purchase. If it mounts on the grip, maybe, but not when it mounts to the triggerguard.

I have one like that on my PT709 and I love it. Finger goes right on the switch, no messing about like with the Bodyguard .380.

I think it looks pretty sweet.

Has batteries, will fail… Not for this old dinosaur… 😉

How much it sucks to live in Commiefornia, or why I can’t buy a M&P shield.
Either the handgun I want does not appear on the official California roster of handguns approved for sale, or if it is approved then it is sold out! Arrrggh!

They couldnt pin mount? oh, probably because they have those safeties back there.
Main thing I dislike about the CT guard lasers is the amount of holsters you now cannot use. I tend to like hard holsters, and that makes them all go for nil.

Brad- I expect you’ll be able to get them through the single shot loophole pretty soon.
(single shot pistols with barrels over 6″ are roster-exempt, and it’s not illegal to convert them back. So smart shops will import them, convert them to single shot [one-round magazine screwed into the well, and an absurdly long barrel], sell them, and convert them back with the original parts on the spot).
