Leviathan
They are unconstitutional but it looks like members of the Congressional Black Caucus are pushing one.
I am digging my Kindle Fire. But it’d be cool to have my Android apps on it, like G reader and gmail. It can be done if you root the Kindle. Anyone done this? And is it worth it?
In the mornings, I listen to the local talk radio for news and weather. And one thing they always have is commercials for banks. And in all of these commercials, they have a song. As in, seriously, they pay for someone to write a love song about their bank. The songs are not catchy and the lyrics are forced into the music. And I’m not going to pick a bank based on its theme song. Who thinks this is a good idea? And who wastes money on this?
I’ve found myself enjoying the TV show Justified quite a lot. I’ve mentioned how Boyd Crowder is one of the best villains ever. Well, I think Quarles is just as good. His odd demeanor, looks and peculiarities make for good acting.
I’ve also been reading these things called books since I got my Kindle Fire. I can’t remember the last time I just sat down and read a book. I’ve been picking the nits out of my wookiee suit while reading Enemies Foreign and Domestic, which is like the internet gun nut bible or something. And I’ve been reading more in general, grabbing unread physical books off the bookshelf.
So, the blogging around here has been half-assed. Well, more half-assed than usual.
As you were.
The supreme court has upheld that strip searches before going to jail are OK, no matter how minor the offense. Now, I have a pretty luxurious sheen on my wookiee suit and this ruling doesn’t really bother me. If you’re going to jail for mass murder or because you ripped a tag off a mattress, being a violation of federal law, you’re going into general population. And, well, can’t really have weapons in there and all of that.
This video is all kinds of messed up. Cop bugs two guys videotaping, leads to handcuffing until another guy shows up.
The senior who lost his gun after a defensive shooting says he’ll get another one.
Gun sales, as measured by NICS, continue their climb compared to last year. And, as a reader pointed out, some states waive NICS checks for folks with carry permits.
A bachelors degree in viking studies? Wow.
Someone should write a book about that. Oh, wait.
There are many lies most people believe about the Martin shooting. That Zimmerman was ordered not to follow, which is false. Or that Zimmerman was not arrested, also false.
After a defensive shooting, it may be a good idea to hire a PR firm: We’ve seen two cases recently, Gerald Ung and now George Zimmerman, where the parents of the shootee have hired PR firms and made life a living hell for the the shooter.
If you have a Keurig, here’s 40% off San Francisco Bay K-cups. I like my Keurig and at that price, I’ll try their coffee.
Lead and brass are good investments. But remember the increase in gun sales an ownership is just a myth perpetuated by the gun lobby.
In MA, a policeman loses his gun rights because the crime reporting system now reports crimes committed as a juvenile. Meanwhile, a man who the state has decided cannot own guns is allowed to carry a gun while on duty.
Pretty dumb law, if you ask me.
A list of words the the NYC Education Department has banned. No wonder kids don’t learn.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
