Wireless Flash Memory

This looks pretty handy. Anyone use them?

Desktop/Laptop

For Buy a Gun Day, I snagged a new S&W M&P9C. Now, I’m a cool kid times two:

I’ve dropped in the Apex Reset Assist Mechanism and the Apex Hard Sear. So it now has an identical trigger to its bigger brother, seen here:

And one more comparison shot to show the size difference:

The M&P9C was, I thought, an odd size. It’s between the Glock 26 and 19. So, it’s got an additional two rounds over the 26. Of course, the 26 may have been bigger was it not made under the AWB. It’s currently riding in a Galco Tuck N Go holster:

It’s pretty handy having two guns with similar grip angles and where the full size magazines are compatible. I carry a spare 18 rounder with the compact. It sticks out a ways but works just fine. I’ve not yet equipped this one with a LaserGrip. I’m seriously considering waiting until the green version comes out.

Agony of da feet

Managed to twist my ankle pretty good this weekend. Ice and compression wraps for me.

Complaining that a 1920s firearm may not have been drop safe when you were actively ignoring two or more of the Four Rules of firearm safety is like complaining that you drove your Ford Model A head-on into a brick wall and the airbags didn’t deploy.

Bank of America Doesn’t Want My Business

Despite the gun industry contributing heavily to the economy, Bank of America is ditching gun clients. Seems that since McMillan is getting more into the gun business than the gun accessories business, BOA doesn’t want to do business with them.

Stupid move from both a financial and PR perspective.

Because it’s not radical

I, however, am.

Why Isn’t There a Movement to “De-radicalize” the NRA? Because the NRA’s positions aren’t radical. They are member driven and the members are not telling them to unradical themselves. And NRA has a 68& approval rating. They’re not the radicals.

School is prison for intelligent kids.

Not so sure. School does socialize children and does this through routines. Trouble is, some can’t deal with the lack of routine when done.

Midnight 3 Gun

I’ll be attending Crimson Trace’s Midnight 3 Gun Invitational. And I was excited to be asked. How often do you get to do a night shoot? I’ve done it once at Mike’s place and learned a lot.

Then, it occurred to me. I’ve never shot a 3 gun match. Or any match other than Glock Sport Shooting Foundation matches (highly recommended). And I started thinking about gear. Handgun, clearly the M&P9 with the Lightguard for the handgun. My AR has a light and a mount. But the only shotguns I own are double barreled. Though, it’d be pretty bad ass if I shot the match with a 26 inch barreled double barrel shotgun. Also, I’m not much of a shotgun guy.

That and having never shot a match pretty much means I’m going to suck. Good thing I’ll be doing press coverage too.
