Creating terrorists so we can catch them
Looks like the FBI busted some loons who were trying to blow up a bridge in Cleveland:
The public was never in danger from the explosive devices, which were inoperable and controlled by an undercover FBI employee, according to sources close to the investigation.
Looks like another case of the feds planting the seeds to me. Also, the supposed ‘anarchists’ were tied to Occupy Cleveland. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Uncle, it’s refreshing that not all gun bloggers are reactionary when they hear this news. I read a lot of gun bloggers who immediately connected this to OWS, ignoring the ongoing role of the FBI in these “terror plots”.

Well, since I live about 25 miles from Cleveland, there’s been a lot of local news footage and reporting that these idiots were spending a LOT of time “Occupying.” Hard to argue with the Video Evidence.
Now having said that, was there a “Secret Conspiracy” by the “Occupy Cleveland” organization to Blow up that Bridge? No, there wasn’t. But “Occupy Cleveland” people DID say on Camera that these guys were trying to Recruit and get Support for their Planned Attack, yet it’s looking like NO ONE in the “Occupy Cleveland” organization passed the word along to the Feds. So it’s looking like to me that some people KNEW what was going down, and gave “Tacit Approval” to this Idiots.
After all, isn’t kind of Funny that almost every time the “Occupiers” in this Country have some sort of “Demonstration,” a small number of “Anarchists” break off and start breaking things, just like in Seattle last night?
And it happens over and over. So as far as I can tell, there seems to be a group of Violent People in the “Occupy” Movement, and the “Movement” provides Aid and Comfort to these Thugs.
Something to think about.

I’m less certain.
I’ve been around that sort of self-proclaimed anarchist both in person – a little – and on the internet, and plenty of them really like the idea of Destroying Stuff, mostly for the sake of doing it.
(They’re the people that cheer at the end of Fight Club rather than being disgusted at the pointless waste and stupidity of it all.)
The seeds were almost certainly already there – if any thing the Feds only needed to provide the opportunity for them to sprout.
(It’s unlikely to in any other way, if only because chucklef*s like that aren’t exactly rocket surgeons and aren’t going to get any big-badda-boom themselves. Thank God.)
