Good for Rick Scott
On trying to get lawfully carried weapons banned at the GOP convention:
“An absolute ban on possession in an entire neighborhoods and regions would surely violate the 2nd Amendment,” Scott wrote to Buckhorn.
And:
“It is unclear how disarming law-abiding citizens would better protect them from the dangers and threats posed by those who would flout the law. It is at just such times that the constitutional right to self-defense is most precious and must be protected from government overreach,” Scott said in his letter.

The breathless comparisons to water pistol bans on yahoo news yesterday were hilarious.

Good for him!!! Wonder what Gov. Big Business would have done under similar circumstances?

Good for Rick Scott and I hope he continues to “stand his ground” against those who say the stand your ground laws need to be repealed for “the legacy of Trayvon Martin”. No, we need them now more than ever because some among those same supposed “civil rights activists” are making rampant and flagrant revenge threats both verbally and in writing which are criminal acts.

I did find buckthorns banning of squirt guns a very good idea though. OWS types are known for filling a super soaker with texas pete hot sauce and spraying their opponents. He is inadvertently saving their lives.
Imagine CCW and SS guys getting hosed with hot pepper juice… Bunch of ows guys would end up getting their commie asses shot off.

Good on him. He isn’t quite right however when he refers to it as a “Constitutional right”. It is an unalienable right. Man is born with the right to self-defense. The Constitution protects that right.

“disarming law-abiding citizens would better protect them from the dangers and threats posed by those who would flout the law” except that “them” are mostly those who also make the laws.

Wow. Could it be that someone gets it?
