Guns are still good business
Reason on why the gun boom is good for the economy.
And it’s a good time to be in the gun business.
And a once booming town is now trying to attract gun makers:
The once-booming timber mill town of Potlatch, ID, is following the lead of other communities across the state by launching a vigorous new effort to attract firearms and ammunition manufacturers to locate there and bring good, high-paying jobs to the region.

My sister-in-law lives in Potlatch and Potlatch is about 30 minutes north of my home in Idaho so I have spent quite a bit of time there.
It’s such a small town that it won’t attract people that like the benefits of the city. But it should have a low cost of living and will attract people that like rural living and the outdoors.
There is already some big firearms names in Idaho and I welcome other companies to move to our friendly environment.
There is CCI/Speer in Lewiston. There is Gemtech near Boise. NightForce is in Orofino. And ESS is in Sun Valley.
And of course there is Boomershoot.

Well, my home state of New York seems to hardly care less about the possible departure of Remington.
The city of Yonkers doesn’t particularly care for Kimber’s presence there, even though they provide a LOT of good-paying jobs…
