This was a staple on the Tonight Show (back before the Colbert Report, so I don’t know if they still do it). My favorite example was one where a woman with the last name Smallhoover was marrying a man with the last name Kraft.
True stories, from Floyd County, Indiana:
Irma Cutter married Jay Butarf.
Janice O’Rear married Dale Sidebottom.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
