Actually, that is a picture-perfect example of the type of OC (non-)advocacy that many of us would prefer over marches and protests and such.
He’s just wearing the gun like he does everyday, not to “make a point” or “send a message”. He doesn’t talk about it, or point to it, just wears it.
It’s legal, he quietly did it yesterday and will quietly do it tomorrow and into the future, so he doesn’t make any deal about it at all. People watching take away from it just that, not that he’s trying to push anything one way or the other.
That is the very definition of “normalizing open carry.”

And given how manufactured and reshot reality TV is, the producers and editors didn’t put in effort to cut out the gun.
Given the amount of footage they get and how they can crop and do voice overs, they could have made it so the gun didn’t show at all.

No?!! Well alrighty then.
In other words, today it was a normal person doing a normal thing. When the media gets done with it, look for there to have been a serial killer loose in that city, with the strong implication that this Dad is a suspect.

I had the unfortune to watch this life. Dude works in / owns a pawn shop. How many pawn brokers you see not carrying around their shops?

Hell, they had a 17 year old contestant this year showing off her deer rifle!
Another (who didn’t make it past the first vote) was shown dumping her Glock into a target in a home video.
I never thought they’d show positive images of gun owners on this show… prove me wrong some more!!

Agree. He is not flaunting it. Just as normal as his shoes. I see videos on YouTube that disgust me. Guys carrying a camera while OC’ing acting like a big shot looking for attention. They are giving us a bad rep
