Ok, I see. You are referring to his son. You could be right. I do not have the dated Sears catalog, so I concede. (But not all patents are in the inventor’s name; many inventions are assigned to a manufacturer. The kid could have patented an improvement.)

NK, nooooope. Maxim patented the silencer in 1908-1909. In 1886 he would have been 17.
