Then where do I put my gun when I go to the restaurant?

In Ohio, a bill to ban hidden compartments. This is dumb on so many levels.

They actually fixed the restaurant fiasco with Senate Bill 17, signed by the Governor on June 30, 2011. As long as you are not drinking alcohol, you can carry in a restaurant now.

Not that it stopped the legislature from making more bad legislation.

And of course the bill is written around the War on (Some) Drugs as a justification (full text of the bill here).

All it takes is putting a little cash into an otherwise legal hidden compartment and you’re in violation of this law, since pretty much every bill in circulation has “residue of a controlled substance” on it.

Will this bill be retroactive so they can finally prosecute the many Buckeye members of the Underground Railroad who smuggled escaped slaves out of the South and into Canada with the aid of hidden compartments?

Well, there is hidden and then there is hidden hidden.

If I ever end up in Ohio, I am using the hidden hidden compartments.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
