Unpossible
You can’t have a gun at church:
Stone Mountain police looking for killer of two people at funeral service
This could not have happened because in Georgia, it’s illegal to carry a gun in a church.

I’ve often wondered how the “No Guns in Church” law would stand up under a court challenge. What other private organization gets their right to choose pre-empted like that? Seems the governing committee for that particular congregation ought to decide that.
And I love a good funeral as much as the next guy, but day-um.

I notice there is a lot they don’t say in that article.
How did the person who the funeral was for die? Would make a big difference if it was from a gang shooting or from natural causes.

If you’re Joan Peterson, this means carrying a gun in church is legal, because it happened.

It happened in the parking lot!
Will nobody close this deadly “parking lot loophole”?

(Also, a quick search returned this context Here.
Supposedly the alleged killer of Mr. Guider attended the funeral – and Mr. Guider was allegedly killed in retaliation for a burglary.
It doesn’t say, but it seems very likely that there was gang involvement, given the claims of retaliation and the car-full of people allegedly involved.
Zero surprises there.

GeorgiaCarry.Org is suing the state to get the “place of worship” ban overturned. You can see the filings here:

They have put in a tremendous amount of work into the case.

I certainly carry a gun to church when I attend.
If it’s not an airport, a public building, etc., I carry – no exceptions.
