“To challenge the validity of a warrant on that basis, a plaintiff “must make 1) a ‘substantial showing’ of deliberate falsehood or reckless disregard for the truth”
Why isn’t the standard “negligence”, or in this case “reckless negligence”? Aren’t these DEA agents professionals? It seems to me that if they can’t be held to the standard of negligence then they aren’t professionals, and if they aren’t professionals they shouldn’t be employed in that occupation.
They don’t act like professionals. I would think a professional would observe the comings and goings of the residence before going all tactical Barney Fife. That way they may have noticed an 11-year-old girl catching a school bus and taken notice that they had the wrong house. But what do I know, I’m not a professional. True professionals shoot first and ask questions later.
“and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
What oath or affirmation?
So when Obama was smoking his grass, and doing a “little blow” he would have supported the DEA task force when they “assisted” him and his children to the ground?
I don’t care about their rationalizations and I don’t care if Whatshisface did “a little blow”. What I care about is dismantling the police state we’ve built.
How to tell if you should be in law enforcement. If you can do this and still look at yourself in the mirror and sleep at night….you SHOULDN’T be in law enforcement

“I didn’t know the address was wrong on the warrant” sounds suspiciously similar to “I was just following orders.”
Wrong is wrong, it doesn’t matter if you meant well or not. We need to stop gving government actors a pass on being wrong.

I gotta wonder how you are supposed to “get on the fucking ground” when you are sleeping in a fucking bed.
Makes me REALLY wish these assholes where on the receiving end of two or more raids. At least one while sleeping and another while on the toilet.

I wish I got a pass on everything I got wrong that I thought was right at the time.
