I gotta tell you, I live in Wawa and Sheetz country. Wawa was featured on the show “Modern Marvels”. Wawa really does take the convenience store to a new level. It’s fast, clean, automated ordering (your food is often done before you pay for it), and it’s inexpensive. Sheetz is the Central PA competitor of Wawa, and I think it has better food. I’m lucky enough to live where Sheetz and Wawa are battling it out, and that competition means I’m the winner via lower prices, more selection, better service, and better food.

The NBC brand is shameful. Remember the Zimmerman edit?

Today on mainstream media, I actually heard the words “fast and furious” but I didn’t hear the words “contempt of court”. I see they’re up to the standard mischief again.

I’m a fan.
The best part of the touch screen for Wawa is the fact that the person making the sandwich doesn’t have to know English. (I’m all for legal immigration and entry level jobs, but I think there ought to always be at least one person in the store that knows more English than “Big Mac”, “sandwich or combo?” and “do you want fries with that?”)
Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutter’s (maybe a few others) pretty much all have the same business model; sell the gas at a loss-leader, keep the restrooms clean and make the profit on the walk in traffic. And you can always get a half pound of pastrami at 3 AM if you really want to.
