Not sure why I found that so neat.

I bought one of these and they are great. Light weight and no longer need to worry about prying the key ring open when I want to change out my keys. Good stuff.

Decades ago I was gifted with a keyring composed of 1/8″ wire aircraft cable and a quick release device. The “ring” it made was about 2.5″ in diameter and had the advantage of molding itself flat and comfortable in one’s pocket, no matter how many keys it held.
It did not last long, a year or two, the failure mechanism being a wire breaking loose from the cable and jabbing through the trousers. Ouch. Worth replacing, though, and highly recommended. They now make them with a coating of nylon to avoid the ouch.
