Are your guns insured?
Miguel on the NRA insurance program. I actually have a rider on my homeowner’s policy that comes in at about $100 a year.

What’s the coverage amount on the rider (approximately, for obvious reasons…), what exclusions, and what company?

I went through USAA with a personal property rider. 60 dollars for about a dozen guns.

Been a few years, but my existing policy insured guns and jewelry at a maximum of $1,000 each or so. I just asked the agent what the cost was to up that to $10K. The cost was negligible.

2nd on the USAA. Full replacement value, no deductible rider. Came in handy when the Democrats broke into my apartment and stole a few guns.

When I looked at this, I would have had to list my guns to get coverage. Do people have a different experience.

I went the rider route as well… but only for some expensive (for me, at least) doubles. I just don’t want my other guns on any more lists than necessary, and I haven’t skimped on my gun safes. As for cost, it is no more than insuring the equivalent in jewelry.

Richard +1. I have USAA rider, & they require a full listing. So, I haven’t updated in a long time. I’m covered for all my Elmer Fudd guns, but nothing that the Feds would want in the first wave of a gun-grab. There won’t be a second wave.
