Oh great, more SWATting techniques; spoof your target’s IP and/or hack into their WiFi, then post online threats against cops.
Another wake-up call for folks to secure that WiFi and/or retire those old WEP routers.

Online threats against individuals: Not important.
Online threats against police officers: Call out the SWAT team.

I’m glad the grandmother didn’t have a heart condition. Or pets for that matter, ’cause Spot and Fluffy would’ve been toast for sure…
One of the comments said “They thought there was a bombmaker there — what were they supposed to do!” Well, how about some actual investigating…a little surveillance perhaps, pretend to be a meter reader or a Jehovah’s Witness and get inside the house to look around? Eh, on second thought, none of that looks as exciting to the camera crew you invited along. Better to go all Dog the Bounty Hunter on ’em.

I must have missed the episode where Dog & co broke into the wrong house with guns drawn.

All that story needed was for someone to be shot ’cause one of the cops tripped with his finger on the trigger.
SWAT-happy police departments suck.

I’m starting to think that these incidents where the pigs hit the wrong address “by accident” aint so accidental. That the pigs are bored and want to play ninja in their tacticool gear and just pick a random address to hit. These “mistakes” happen far too ofton and make me wonder if this might be the case.

“Investigate? What is this thing you want us to do?”
