“But here in America, we don’t register guns.”
Sure do. In Kali I listed a privately purchased pistol on my CCW application and it was kicked back because ” it’s not registered to you”.
Bryan: It doesn’t, because they don’t get any money for it (Congress specifically prohibits it as a matter of not just law but funding) and Congress would crucify them if they ever found out about it, which they inevitably would, because ATF is real bad at keeping secrets – or being competent even in its core job.
So, yes, I think exactly that.
(They want a registry real bad, which is why some idjit in Congress occasionally proposes doing it.
But that very desire that gets thwarted is evidence that they don’t have a Super Sekrit Registry now.
That said there is, of course, a very real registry now – the NFA list, which is outdated, full of mistakes, and unmaintainable.
Heh, I have some where there’s no way to even trace them to me. Bought one from a private seller, didn’t ask his name, he didn’t ask mine. Cash and carry. It’s lost in the wilderness.

Sure we do. We have to ask the fed for a background check and the ATF gets a record of the sale.
You think that doesn’t go into a registry of some sort?

I’m surprised that China and India were 2nd and third. Obviously it’s a function of gross population and the actual ownership rate is much lower.

There’s a lesson there…)
