Hope and Change
After killing a pet, police in Austin have changed their policy on dealing with dogs. Not shooting them on sight seems like a good policy.

Also, $40 off 32gb jump drive. Never seen a 32gb drive that small.
By the way the press has to edit footage to make someone with an R after their name look out of touch.
Issa disappointed, says contempt vote will go as planned. Can’t blame him since Holder’s deal consisted of letting them peak but they had to stop asking.
Meanwhile, anti-gun shills say stupid things.
Rep. Gerry Connolly is an idiot:
It’s not really up to the Supreme Court to second-guess the legitimate decision made by the elected representatives of the people, and if people want to change that law, they can do so by changing the legislators
Actually, it’s kind of funny. That’s exactly why they are there.
The court is not a revenue generating entity; the court is there to ensure that justice is done. When you start looking at a court as a place where you’re going to come up with money and generate revenue, then you’ve got a kangaroo court, and that is not what Dallas is all about.
Russia replacing the Makarov with the 9x19mm Strizh Pistol. And I thought tricked out AR-15s looked ridiculous.
Dewalt Glock. Heh.

Ultimate M1A. Looks like it weighs about 30 pounds.
The vet who had his guns taken has had them returned. Only they’ve been engraved and written on, a violation of their own rules of evidence handling.
Mentioned my challenge to me to shoot 100 rounds per week. So far, so good. Last week I met up with my dad and we put a few Sigs and S&W M&Ps through their paces. I’m guessing I shot 200 so I’m up! Here’s dad:
I shoot better without the pressure of being in a match. I should probably shoot matches more to get over that.
Looks like a deal at $148. For that price, I’d drop one on a 10/22. Via Oleg.
Changing no duty to retreat laws so that they cannot be used as a defense to someone who initiates a confrontation. The law already says that so you should be good to go. But the WaPo would rather lie about gun laws.

For you folks in Cali with your bullet buttons this looks like a neat idea. I’m sure it will be made illegal soon.
Robert VerBruggen on the Brady Campaign To Prevent Gun Ownership’s new fundraiser err president:
Remember, this isn’t some random clown blogging for the Huffington Post; it’s the president of a leading gun-control group. If these are the best arguments the anti-gun movement can put forth, our Second Amendment rights are safe indeed.
In that post below this one, I mentioned this lunacy that 380 American rebels were killed a few days ago. You know, I love conspiracy theories, they’re entertaining. But hats off to the Russian foil hat wearers. Their conspiracy theories get straight to fantasy land quick. And they don’t half ass it like Americans do.
They look happy. But the Plain Dealer is butthurt about it: Some thought the juxtaposition of such lethal weapons with pure innocence and excitement was too jarring or sent the wrong message.
Who is “some”? Way to be credible. “some” think 380 American rebels were killed in Michigan the other day. Those “some” are insane.
