I’m willing to give this article the benefit of the doubt. In my part of Utah, it rained last week — and that was the first rain since March. Everything except the irrigated fields is dry enough to ignite if you look at it wrong.
You’re not thinking like an Eco-Freak! It’s both. If not for Global Warming, the vegetation would not be dry enough to catch, and without the gun, there would be no ignition source. Lightning, of course, is a manifestation of Mother Gaia, and as such, can never be blamed for anything.
CarlS is right, but Mankind is a manifestation of Mother Gaia as well…so when you say “Man-Made Global Warming”, you really should just say “Natural Global Warming” or, you know, “the weather” for short.
Oh, pish-posh: with a big enough database, any decent number cruncher can mold a direct link between global warming and (take your pick) gun ownership/gunplay/ND/gun jams.
Gee … is suppose all those beetle killed pine trees I saw when I last drove through that area ( completely brown hillsides ), and the Clinton and Obama appointed hippies in the District Ranger’s office, who refuse to harvest them, have absolutely nothing to do with this?
I get so upset when they come up with this idea that target shooting are causing all these fires. There has been a few around where I live and same thing target shooting did it.More than likely could be a guy checking target with cigarette versus a bullet hitting a rock. One public access range around here cant shoot after 12:00 Noon in the summer.

Oh, they mention “climate change” down in the article.

From all my reading of these stories, I suspect the gunfire is just as likely as the “Climate Change” argument.

Global warming: is there anything it can’t do?

I’m gonna call BS on the gunfire causing wildfires. I like the “it hit a rock and caused a spark”. What the hell kind of rock was it? Steel?
