Another blogger informed me that, if you write on word press they “own” your writing, – I dunno, never looked that close at the fine-print, but I’m not getting paid either, anyhow.
Both Sean and A Girl are self hosted. WordPress cannot own their content. WordPress.com may have something in the ToS but I haven’t read it in detail. As I am hosting the material and WordPress is merely the software for Delivery, there is nothing in the software license that could allow them to claim ownership.
The site I’m bootstrapping is also outside their ability to control.
Bottom line is be very careful about the claims because one even on WordPress.com that seems like one of those stories to scare people off. Off to what though? Blogger where I’m sure google has something in their ToS about using your content if they can find a way to profit?
There is also a big difference between, blogger, wordpress.com and WordPress.org(where you are self hosted). Both Sean and A Girl are WordPress.org.

Thanks for the link. I like the WordPress post editor a lot more than I thought I would. It makes things easier.
I only took so long to switch over because I couldn’t figure out how. Barron Barnett helped me out a lot.

A Girl and Her Gun crossed into the fold too.
Sean contacted me after I migrated A Girl.
I’m working up a site right now that my goal is to be a one stop shop for people trying to flee blogger.

Didn’t read NotClauswitz’s comment first.
