Childlike
That’s really how I view the recent “you didn’t build that” comment by the president. It’s a serious lack of understanding. Hey, if roads meant successful business then everyone with access to roads would have one, right?
And another one: Elizabeth Warren, Again: “Nobody got rich on their own. Nobody.” This woman is increasingly an embarrassment.
Quote of the day: Noticed how quick the private sector is.
Related. I laughed hard.

Good Christians know that whatever they do, their strength comes from God. God made everything, God sustains everything. None would claim to be solely responsible for his success.
Obama literally believes in government the way that good people believe in God. “Yours is the power, the glory and the kingdom, now and forever.”

The actual best quote of the day came from Pat Sajak of all people. He wrote…
“It’s like Obama crawled into the tank, put on his helmet, checked his watch, and pardoned Richard Nixon all at the same time.”
Doom.

Sorry for deleting the old post guys. Didn’t know it was going to be a popular one. I usually “clean” out my filler posts after a certain time leaving only the “higher quality” ones. Here’s something instead as a compensatory link:

Sorry again,

Here is the ORIGINAL link to the guy who came up with it. Uncle, I hope you’ll consider sending him some traffic, he is the one who came up with it (plus the perfect quote about Obama)

That was Taxagawea, right?

Here is a link to a really good takedown of Obama’s business theory:

It’s a little long, but well worth reading.

No more childish than the rampant taking what he said out of context. Actually, way less childlike really.
Consumer demand is what creates and sustains jobs, businesses, and economic development. Full stop. So while merely having roads and sewers and a military protecting our way of life and hospitals and schools aren’t sufficient for successful businesses, they’re certainly a necessary condition.
Queue wookiesuits referring to the relatively innocuous statement above as creeping Maoism in 3…2…1

There is no context to change the meaning. It was clear in totality. Try again.
July 20th, 2012 at 9:16 pm
I don’t understand how we’ve gotten so far into the “context” of this claim without bringing up the concept of a “public good.” It’s a pretty important idea.
Am I taking the idea that Obama is a lecturer on constitutional law — OUT OF CONTEXT?
There’s a perfectly understandable context for this consideration. It’s in “Atlas Shrugged.” Direct quote.

I’m with dustydog, above; Ironically, Obama is cynically preying upon Christian humility here, and Christians’ awareness of the dangers of pride which is hard to resist when one becomes wealthy. 1Tim 6:9-10, Mt 19:23.
And, while he might regret the artless manner in which he said it, Obama knows exactly what he is doing.
What I find brazen is the way that O’s apologists have come back with the “hey, you didn’t build the roads” &etc. This line only works on fools who don’t think to ask where exactly the government gets the money to build the roads that are there for go-getters and slackers alike, but then government schools (I include universities here) are churning out such fools apace– again, the Obamists know what they’re doing and upon whom they are preying.
July 23rd, 2012 at 9:33 pm
Nope. He was clearly referring to the infrastructure all consumers use to get to and partake of services provided by businesses, not the businesses themselves.
You try again, because you’re fucking the dog on this one.
July 23rd, 2012 at 9:35 pm
No. It’s clear he said what he meant.
