FWIW Chicago normally kills 6 or 7 per weekend, with 50 to 60 total wounded. Apparently the docs in Chicago are good at their jobs, or the criminals really shoot like crap.

Chicago’s homicide total last year was less than 450. Let’s leave the sloppy statistics to the other team. 😉

I guess since the Sikhs were not at work, it could not be “workplace violence” like Fort Hood supposedly was.

“Terrorism” increasingly seems to mean “somebody who isn’t a Muslim killing somebody else.”
Besides, any J-School grad can tell you that killing American soldiers isn’t terrorism; it’s Freedom Fighting!

Tam, there is one disturbing Stat that has appeared regarding this Particular Shooting. From what I’ve read over the last few days, it seems by my ROUGH count that over 70% of the News Articles STRESS within the first paragraph that an “ARMY VETERAN” was responsible. Reading between the lines, it looks like the MSM Editors are reviving the old “Crazy Vet” Meme, a la what they did to our Vietnam Vets.
But Hey! After we sent, what a Million or so People over to Iraq and Afghanistan over the last couple of decades in the Bush Families Wars (let us not forget Bush the Elder’s Gulf War), this shouldn’t come as a Shock, considering the Source.
I’m expecting the old “Baby Killers” line to come out of some Talking Heads lips any day now.

So, because this guy is white and attacks a religious group, it’s terrorism, but a Muslim major shooting down soldiers while yelling “Allahu Akbar”, isn’t terrorism.
Yeah, no double standard here. Move along.

Obama referred to the Ft. Hood massacre, where our soldiers were disarmed on the base, as workplace violence.
Workplace violence when a Muslim is killing Americans while yelling Allah Akbar?
There were just as many fatalities at Ft. Hood as there were in Aurora, but Obama was largely silent on this incident because the perpetrator wa a Muslim yelling Allah Akbar.
By contrast, he embraced the Aurora shooting and the Gabby Giffords shootings as photo ops for his anti-gun agenda.
