U.S. gun laws prohibit firearms that can slip by undetected at airports and require that working guns come with a barrel that’s at least 3 inches long. Needless to say, the C1ST has been banned in the US and the UK.
World’s smallest gun? A hatpin would make a more serious wound channel than that thing! Penetrate heavy clothing better too. I’d take a kitchen knife over that toy anyday. Now, THAT would make a wound channel!
With leaps-n-bounds advances in nanotech, some wag is sure to grow a sub-molecular gray tubelet soon, concealable within a fingerprint, just to watch the UN types PSH.
Philological beg: are you willing to spot me that assumed “-ly” so I can use PSH as a verb? I hanged two prepositions the other day, and still feel guilty.
Alloy frame (20), Adjustable target sights(5), a 3 inch barrel, target grips(5), hammer & trigger(5)… dang. That’s still only 35 points.
Getting enough points out of barrel length would need a 9 inch barrel (half point for every quarter inch past 4 inches). Might pick up a point or two for weight then though (1 point an ounce). So maybe only a 8.5 inch barrel.
But damn if it doesn’t show how mind bogglingly dumb gun laws are.
Importation depends on the type of sights or on a complex fuction of weigths? Even though said weapon would be perfectly legal to manufacture and sell in the states.
The world’s smallest gun – well, made for sale. I’ve seen pics of working miniatures made as a hobby, though one of my favorites was a Gatling built for .22LR. Still, if I had a vast fortune I’d be delighted to buy one even if I had to keep it in my chalet in the Swiss or Italian Alps.

Fears? 0.71 ft-lb of force.
Exactly Chas a knife, any knife, would make a better wound.
And WTF is with that 3 inch barrel crap? I guess all those snubnoses are felonious.
Though it does show the irrational fears of the antis quite nicely.

So actually, you couldn’t put an eye out?

Re: The people that are nervous about that tiny gun
I cannot imagine going through life as terrifed as these people.

The 3in barrel rule is concerning the import points system guys.
That’s why Taurus Snubs come into the states with a goofy barrel extension.
August 10th, 2012 at 12:15 pm
I stand corrected. Tomcat.
Though if the Taurus Snubs can be imported with a barrel extension, then surely this little bugger could be too.
It certiantly wouldn’t be a high percentage added to the price point.

oh man!
Now that’s a heck of an idea Jack!

I wonder what he’s designing for the states?

Well, well. I didn’t realize quite how “sporting arms” the importantion point system is.
Still even a 9 in barrel isn’t that much given how much these stupid buggers cost.

ER, the Gatling was much larger – forgot to mention that.
