That one on the bottom was in my ankle.
In the October issue of “Writer’s Digest” magazine, the editor includes a concise sidebar piece explaining the differences between the revolver and the semi-automatic pistol. Now, stop right there and think about it: in a magazine written for authors of stories like Twilight and Harry Potter is a gun article called “Getting the Details Right.”
And don’t knock action movies. That’s where the ant-gun people get their ‘facts’.
Yeah, I’ve noticed a lot of more minorities and women at ours. Of course, some of that may have to do with the new owners telling the guy who shows up with the Nazi stuff to calm down.
Well, you may get searched. Seems they’re employing ‘chatdowns’ to get you to admit you’re a terrorist. Or something. And it’s nice how the draw attention to and attempt to embarrass those that don’t want to comply.
So, let’s round it up:
Play by play analysis of the shooting.
A recurring theme: Cops can’t shoot. Well, NYC cops anyway. Average citizen shoots a bystander 2% of the time. Cops 11%.
Meanwhile, Jay and Robb aren’t so quick to blame the shitty shooting in NY on shitty shooting. I’m not condemning them but saying the should train more and better. When you fire a gun, you own every round that comes out of it and are responsible for where it goes. If this had been a concealer carrier who negligently shot 9 bystanders, imagine how this story would be played out in the press.
Joe made a course to test how well people would do at a police qualifying course. It’s here.
It’s the size of the round. The NYT says the .45 is sooper dooper deadly.
Ok, then.
But a look at Blackhawk’s new retention holster: The GripBrake. Well, that may be the name.
Man with a gun and a carry permit saves a police officer:
According to Col. Greg Phares, “[Mr. Stevens] orders Mr. Temple to stop and get off the officer. The verbal commands are ignored and Mr. Stevens fires four shots, all of which struck Mr. Temple.”
The first house I will have completed will have a street address of 1022.
In NYC, all bystanders who were shot during the Empire State Building shooting were hit by police officers. When you do your best to get rid of the gun culture, it probably affects training since it is mostly a private enterprise. No market means no service. I can’t say I’m particularly surprised given their past instances of gun handling.
More from Tam, who says:
Come on, Bloomberg: Step in front of a camera and tell us how only the police have the training and professionalism to handle a pistol.
No, instead he’ll blame gun laws in other states.
Update: Calls for more gun control because of the cops. They finally admit it, I guess. Uhm, who’s going to do that training then, Sparky? And it’s amusing since he asserts that if more people were armed, more would have been shot. Well, I dunno. But I’m guessing your average CCWer can out shoot your average NYC cop.
Seriously. This man has been hit upside the head with a bat made of stupid or he’s on something. Or ill, I suppose. But his recent gaffes aren’t something we need in a man who is one heartbeat away from the presidency.
He’s my employee and I want him drug tested.

These instances could not have happened because assault weapons are banned in Chicago, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
Interesting. Seems younger folks just aren’t buying cars due to the onerous restrictions on licensing. This could spell trouble for car makers. And, you know, doesn’t make me think we’re raising a generation of independent people.
Chattanooga Doesn’t Trust Adults to Peddle You Across a Bridge in Enormous Tricycles. Seems the city regulated a pedicab company right out of business. You didn’t build that . . .
Paul Ryan, way to show your small government credibility by having TSA agents do security at your event.
Interesting stuff from this piece called What The Left Won’t Tell You About The Boom In U.S. Gun Sales: the number of Democratic households with firearms in their homes skyrocketed from 30 percent in 2009 to 40 percent today.
Excellent. It’s kind of like a summary of all of the We’re Winning posts.
Large group of people assaulting and robbing people. I tend to avoid large groups anyway. Not out of fear of violence but because large groups tend to be dumber than their dumbest member.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
