So, everyone went over one day and had them some chicken there a bit back. But Knoxville Chick Fil A doesn’t want you armed there when you’re eating your chicken sammich spiced with conservative values.

“spiced with …” You have a little bias against the Conservative / Christian thingy it would seem……..Hopefully it was a mistake or an misunderstanding and the owner of the franchise will make it right in regards to the 2nd A issue.

I’ll take my Chik-Fil-A from the drive through window, where no one will say anything about my firearm. Not to mention, 45 minute wait?? lol

In this particular case, the OCer did exactly what I did not 30 minutes previously at the same exact store – walked in, placed his order, and waited for his food while peacefully carrying a firearm in an open fashion. There were no cameras, there was no posturing, there was nothing – he was simply another customer, and for his lawfully exercising his rights as respected by Tennessee, he was asked to leave.
Given that nothing changed, I fail to see how anyone could be accused of being an idiot or “not helping the cause”.

Mine in Lexington Ky didn’t mind me open carrying there. Even chatted with the manager who was very nice.

Predictable anti-OC knee jerk reactions sound *so* much like the Bradys reaction to guns in general, it’s hard to tell them apart, sometimes.
I carry a gun. I carry it openly. And I carry a camera, as damn near everyone does these days with smartphones having them by default, but I will use it to document any idiotic reactions to my visible gun. Of which there have been none, so far, going on about three years.
Get over it.

Well, y’all live in the South (or is that the “Mid-South” now).
Out here in the GFW part of the West, O/C draws the full SWAT reaction. The O/C-ers last week had one sporting rifle among 13 guys, it was unloaded, but they were all wearing identical camo suits and BEARDS (yes, that group, “Beards for Breast Cancer Awareness”), and someone expressed ALARM to 911, so the cops did their usual over-reaction, shutting down a major traffic thoroughfare for over an hours while they took down the 13 harmless men who were only on the river bridge for a sunrise photo shoot for their cause.
Where’s Code Pink? MIA. Where are the other breast-cancer awareness groups? MIA. I may be the lone voice in this City(Portland, OR) protesting this blatant civil rights violation.
So, O/C-ers, you WILL eventually get hammered down by the GFW po-po. YOU have to decide whether you want that distressing event and it’s consequences in your life.
O/C may come to be accepted, but if it does, it will be in the Second American Republic (which might be closer than you think).
