You know the props department is full of Glocks and Berettas and H&Ks, but they go for old slab sides (which are often crazy custom jobs, which they probably recognise)

Now if Mr. Pitt would just make the Intellectual Leap that the Politicians and Causes that he supports would take away his Firearms if they had the chance….

It is very gratifying to hear someone who has such a huge audience openly support the 2A. On the other hand I am always one of the first to decry the Hollywood lefties as mindless hypocrites who make fortunes glorifying the violent use of military weapons on screen while condeming their existence whenever an unscripted thought falls out of their mouths. Often the most vocal, celebrity anties have bodyguard escorts and live behind high walls. Residing near Hollywood I am often reminded that a lack of intellect, as often witnessed in tv interviews with actors and entertainers, is no disqualifier for being famous and having a following. Because they are blindly adored by so many, often the opinions of the rich and famous are given credit for being well researched and intelligent when this is seldom the case. Forming coherent, logical arguments is the job of writers and editors. So when these famous types talk outside of their chosen medium I generally disregard them for my stated reasons. So I’m conflicted here.
It’s difficult for me to have it both ways. I certainly applaud Pitt for having the stones to publicly state an opinion that is contrary to many of the folks he has to work with, but it is only his opinion and he and his bride are just two more gun enthusiasts. But Brangelina, as a couple and individually have lots of fans. If the anties can parade out a plethora of Hollywood gun haters then I suppose we should be able to do the same when it suits us, and we sure could use some support from that direction.
