I am from the government and I love your baby more than you do. Both these stories bother me. The mothers need help, not persecution. (Yes, I know how to spell “prosecution”.)
The story about the mother charged with abuse has so little info that it’s almost useless. The hospital doesn’t know why they said she needed to go somewhere else? There’s got to be more to it.
nk: So is a child a person, or property? If it is a person, then the parent is responsible for making decisions that will kill the child.
unc: I see your point. If it is a child, then how can you excuse abortion. If it is not a child, then these charges are bogus.
Yes, divemedic. A parent is responsible for his child. Life is a rare and precious thing.
But a mother is a living person, too, and she has a right to live her life free, and to make decisions about the child in her belly that she is bringing into the world.
Most telling, it doesn’t say why the ridiculously named mother decided she all of a sudden needed to leave, after the doctor just told her that doing so would endanger BOTH of them.
