Speaking as one who finds a small airport most convenient on the rare occasion he has to fly somewhere, I’m not excited to hear the backscatter X-ray machine will be coming to an airport near me.

Allow me to translate from bureaucratese to English: “We don’t give a f*** about your health or your rights. We’re doin’ this ’cause it makes OUR lives easier.”
When they dare detain a sitting Senator, and suffer no consequence, the average citizen might as well be a cockroach to these people: there to be stomped at will.
