I have to admit that along our little stretch of lake shore (from Woodtick to Presque Isle), this would be no more surprising than Hamas bombing Fatah. And no less welcome.
We used to have ducks swimming around with their offspring, and once in a while one would go “plop” and never be seen again. Turtles, that was, red ear sliders. You want some big cats, go to the dam side of a stream fed lake. You’ll see some that could eat you. I kid you not.
How smart am I really? Smart enough not to go for some chick with hardware hanging from her belly, or to give my email to some schmuck that just asks for it.

Nope. Never saw that, but the catfish we have around are much smaller. I once caught a garter snake that had swallowed a catfish. Only saw that once.
