I think the ATF already ruled on that one, that the ability to take the electronic tripping of the trigger to FA so easily constituted manufacturing a machinegun.
Granted, a tippman paintball pistol is not a firearm, and the recoil forces are drastically different. Now a pepperball round fired from that thing would make for a very interesting device.
