An American thing, I think, that we could never expect those other people to understand: ambushing a uniformed civil servant in the performance of his duty is pretty low, but laying in wait for a volunteer fireman? The stones cry out.

After Fast and Furious, I don’t automatically discount the government working in the shadows in these killings. They certainly take advantage of them when they happen. How timely was it for Dianne Feinswine to announce her “new” AWB? What a ghoul!

Of course, it is the fault of the gun, but not the fact that this guy should have gotten the death penalty or still been in jail on a life sentence without parole.
I agree, Crotalus. If Obama and other fascists want more citizen disarmament legislation, let’s make it “comprehensive” and get a full accounting of “Fast and Furious”. And let’s go by the Constitution and apply “the equal protection of the laws” (14th Amendment) so that any gun laws apply to government officials and agents. I thnk either or both of those additions would make them drop the issue.
