The NRA was lambasted for suggesting armed guards in schools. The idea was not so crazy when Bill Clinton supported it and funded it. But Obama came along and cut funding for it.

Obama’s kids have armed guards at their school. They’re called Secret Service agents. Is it okay for America’s kids to be unprotected and massacred, but not Obama’s kids?
We need our Second Amendment rights back so that we can take of ourselves and our children. Enough of this “gun free school” lie that gets kids killed. The president’s kids don’t go to a “gun free school’ because he’s not that stupid, but he sure thinks we are, doesn’t he?

Some news story I read in the last few days claimed this is “Old News”, because 1/3rd of the Schools in the U.S. have some sort of Armed Guard already.
Now, I wish I could verify the source, but I can’t. But that sounds about right. But I think most of them are at the High School Level.
And let’s not forget all those Campus Police Forces, roaming all those “Gun Free Zones of Higher Learning.”

We have police in the HS and MS in our town; that’s one and three. There are eleven ES with no permanent armed anything.

With police in the HS and MS, but none of the ES, it seems that the purpose of the cops is to control the older kids, rather than to protect them. No protection for the little kids at all. That seems like a basic philosophical change that needs to be made.
