Layers of editorial oversight
The ban, which existed for 10 years until 2004, would have made it illegal for the young gunman in Connecticut to buy the type of 30-round magazines that allowed him to shoot so many elementary school students before he reloaded.
No, it wouldn’t have.

America’s first school shooting involved the death of a teacher and ten students. The murderers were four native Americans. They didn’t use 30-round magazines; they had flintlocks back in 1764.
Dumbing down our Second Amendment rights, even going back to 18th century weapons, would not prevent massacres.
Massacres are prevented by having the ability and will to resist them, and that comes from being armed not disarmed. The antis have it exactly backwards when it comes to ending massacres, and they know it. Ask them if Obama’s children should be protected by armed guards – they are. The left doesn’t have a leg to stand on when they try to argue against the use of guns to protect children. We know that being armed works, and we know what disarmament accomplished at Newtown.
America can prevent massacres if it wants to, but the problem is that people on the left find these massacres to be so useful to their gun ban agenda that they don’t want to give up their politically useful massacres. We will need to make them do it.
The leftistas may get a big kick out of wrecking capitalist American society, but we have to draw the line when it comes to them insisting that our children die undefended, because that’s going just too damned far. Too damned far.

Even if the law DID do that, the killer didn’t buy anything. He killed the owner and STOLE what he wanted. Already illegal.

Yeah, as if the Kid could have afforded Pre-Ban Mags in the First place.

1. He didn’t buy his weapons, he stole them.
2. He didn’t use the rifle, he left it in his car.

Pre ban ones, or even banned ones in most states, were pretty affordable until a couple of weeks ago. I have one just like that reporter schmuck, that has stamped on it, “restricted law enforcement/government use only” that I got for $8 last year. I can hold it up on camera here, even though it’s full, because we’re rational like that.
