Those other states are just playing catchup. Everyone in Utah already filled their gun safes.

David, close. 🙂 Everything got sent to other states so they could be sold at disgusting prices. Utah’s shelves are all empty. Can’t increase gun sales if we can’t buy guys!

I believe Utah is like Kansas – a Point Of Contact state where those with a valid CCW from that state don’t get called in when they buy a gun in that state.
Where I work in Kansas I’d say around 1/4 of our sales are to people where we don’t have to call them in. Since we don’t call the FBI/NICS doesn’t show that ‘sale’ – (all they have are the number of calls and a call could be no sale or 100 guns – it’s all the same on the call).
