We need to go further with these people. Publishing names and address is not enough. We have to research and publish.

We need to troll public records and out every aspect of their lives. We can’t just stop at names and address.
The author of the Gawker piece is already complaining that people are tweeting his home address. He thinks this is unfair because he didn’t publish any addresses. But his piece makes it clear that he published no addresses because the list he got had no addresses. Since he complained in the piece that it was illegal for NYPD not to have given him the addresses it seems fair to infer that he would have published them if he’d had them.
The usual suspects on the Left are already treating Cook like a martyr because he suffered the outrageous fate of getting a taste of his own medicine.
We need to tweet the names of his parents, their address and phone number. We need to tweet details about their kids, their relatives. We need to make these people toxic, so their own turn on them.
Dave: That’s going way beyond good taste, and is something that WILL backfire. Going after these assholes personally is legitimate; going after their families is the action of a fucking nutjob, and most other people WILL see it that way. That will damage our cause severely, not help it.
It’s not like one of “us” is actually going to “go after” these relatives. If someone were so inclined, publication of the information would be irrelevant. He’d find what he wanted. The point is to subvert the smugness of these little bedwetters. At best, they may rethink their tictacs, but at least by pantsing them, they may realize this shit’s serious.
They’re well willing to take the low road, assuming we’ll stay classy and play by the rules. What’s that gotten us? As distasteful as it may be, we need to be ready to bang heads with the headbangers.
I guess this is the difference between you and me there Robby. Publishing my name as a gun owner puts everyone in my home in danger. If these people think this is the tactic they want to go with, they’re not going to stop until we show we’re playing to win. You start publishing the details of their mortgage, divorce agreements, custody arrangements and you watch how fast they back down. Have you ever read a custody agreement where one party pays more in support so they don’t have to spend time with their kids? Yea, those things really do exist. Then you spread the airing the documents to their family members, and you make them toxic to everyone around them. You watch how fast they become social and professional outcasts. These people have deep and dark skeletons in their closets and they do their best to keep them from view. These things are all public record. I don’t know how you associated public records with a call to take physical action. Then again, a guy who uses the F-word to make his point is not someone that anyone really pays too much attention to.
Tell me again why Jack Ryan dropped out of the 2004 IL Senate race? Oh yeah, what was found his is divorce case? If you think you’re going to play a low road game and win by taking the high road than I have a bridge I’d like to sell you. These people are betting there are people like you, playing to lose, who will not use the tactics needed to win the fight.
They ought to publish the names and addresses of as many of these guncontrollers as they can. Don’t just stop at journalists, all of these people should be on the web.
Then again, a guy who uses the F-word to make his point is not someone that anyone really pays too much attention to.
I’m sorry, did my salty language damage your precious little eyes?
I’ve got to admit, being admonished for using curse words by a guy who just proposed invading the privacy of innocent people is really to make a political statement is really fucking rich.
No Robby, you’re claiming to be the one taking the high road and you’re worried about image yet you’re unable to express yourself without cursing. Kind of ironic, but, mostly pathetic.
Okay, I wasted enough time with the trolls. I have some public records to go dig up.
No Robby, you’re claiming to be the one taking the high road and you’re worried about image yet you’re unable to express yourself without cursing. Kind of ironic, but, mostly pathetic.
You know what’s a true obscenity? What you’re doing right now. You are going after innocent people for the mistakes of others. You know who else tends to do that? Terrorists. So, go right ahead, give the gun control crowed another hammer to beat us with. And you can go fuck yourself when it blows up in all of our faces.
I’m with Dave. If there’s no cost associated with harassment, they’ll continue to do it. The cost so far is that their personal details are getting publish, and that doesn’t seem to be a deterrent.
Rob (the other one) — the left is setting the rules. Their behavior makes it clear how they expect to be treated. Dave’s just applying the Golden Rule.
Let’s dispense with calling anyone a terrorist, shall we? The next stop on that line is a Godwin violation.
Logic, statistics, and kindly-worded disagreement have failed miserably with the strain of gungrabbing leftist presstitutes who would endanger people with the publication of these lists. To continue on that path is insanity. They don’t and cannot listen to reason.
They have to be made to *feel* the mistake to understand what they have been doing is wrong and must be stopped. They need to understand that there are possible consequences to what they do and they are not immune simply because they are bien pensants.
This is the kind of high quality PR we need to display. Bonus points if you can do it while open carrying.
Funny you should bring that up, because this is kind of like painting the tip of an AK orange and then walking through the park with it. It’s not good PR, whatever you may think it will prove.
It sounds like you’re on a team of one. There doesn’t seem to be anyone here agreeing with your coaching or lack of offense.
I prefer not to have people on my side who actively damage it by doing boneheaded things. So sue me.

Don’t start none, won’t be none.
Sure, THEY do, but do the people who are merely associated with them because they share similar DNA really need to be made to pay too? There are some tactics that NOBODY should use, for any reason. I happen think this is one them.
Wow, you just keep coming back. Now you’re just a joke we can all laugh at.
Thanks for the laugh Robby.
Uh huh. See, this kind of jerkass attitude is not going to get us anywhere, as a group. People seeing as nut jobs who are willing to go after innocent people to make a political statement does NOT help our cause. And all you have to argue against that position is diminutives and assholery.
My only consolation is that you’re such a bit player that your shitheadedness probably won’t be noticed outside of this website. Hopefully.
