We can do that too. Pan down a row of kids while talking about how many kids have been murdered in the Democratic Party’s gun-free school zones. Zones that they insist on maintaining, with no one to defend the schoolchildren, so that they can reap the political victories of more gun control laws, as even more massacres occur.
Armed security or dead kids. That is the real choice, not the phony, feel good, do nothing practical approach of more gun control. Gun control didn’t stop Adam Lanza, but a bullet fired by an armed guard might have, and sooner than one eventually did.

The Secret Service has announced that they will be un-armed for the event. “It just doesn’t make sense to have guns around all those children ” a white house spokesman said.

You mean like the ELEVEN armed guards at the school where Obama’s daughters and NBC’s David Greogory’s kids attend?
But yes, the schools where these children are need to remain “gun-free”. while Obama, Congress and other elites have armed protection by the weapons that they deny to us.

Okay, two can play at the pathos game. The ad I see goes like this: The camera pans down a row of childrens’s faces and stops on the face of a little girl who looks like Hillary might have looked as a child. The littl girl says, “I’m afraid. Please don’t let a bad man kill me.” The camera them pans up to a young, female security guard who is armed, and who then reassures the little girl that no one will hurt her.
The liberal media, who might have said that they found Obama’s use of schoolchildren to be “touching”, will howl over “the gun looby’s” use of children, but it WILL connect very deeply with the American people. Obama can then stutter about why he doesn’t want to protect children.

rickn8or beat me to it – I was thinking at how Americans howled once when Saddam did this sort of thing. We collectively complained that he was using “human shields”; when the current oval office occupant does it some consider it a “heartwarming photo op”.
